Pete Kaliner
Pete Kaliner has worked for WBT Radio News since 1999. He was born in West Islip, NY but came down south to attend Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. He graduated with a degree in Mass Communication Broadcast. His studies of political science and philosophy have helped him cover local politics in Charlotte. He's covered the "government beat" for about seven years, and won numerous awards for his reporting. He's a two-time winner of the NC Radio Journalist of the Year award from the Radio/Television News Directors Association of the Carolinas (RTNDAC).
Pete also writes, produces, and delivers a daily news and commentary segment on The Matt & Ramona Show on WBT's sister station 107.9 WLNK-FM.
